With the introduction of the fiscal POS, all entrepreneurs to who the 10% calculation rule applies must install a Certified Cash Register (CCR) to register their F&B revenue.
What may not have been quite clear from the legal documentation is that a hotel or meeting center which must install a CCR, must also register all F&B revenue for events via the CCR. There are exceptions, but in the majority of the cases it is no longer allowed to post the F&B charges for events (cocktails, banquets, seminars) directly in the PMS (Fidelio or Opera).
Our team is currently trying to bring some clarity in this and will, after consulting with the government representatives, document the rules and exceptions. As soon as the details are available, we will inform the hotels and meeting centers among our customers. Reconfiguration of extension of the POS-PMS (till-hotel) interface may thus be required.
Our updates concerning CCR can be found following this link.
